The Courtyard Studio was built as part of the refurbishment of Canberra Theatre Centre in 1982. Designed to give small, intimate performances, the Courtyard Studio is as versatile as it is useful, as all seats can be removed to provide a perfect rehearsal space for theatre and dance. Unparalleled in its personal style, The Courtyard Studio features a full range of lighting and sound effects and equipment to compliment the performance, from dance to drama.
A vast array of local talent has used The Courtyard Studio to great effect, including Free Rain, Jigsaw Theatre Company and Everyman Theatre to name but a few.
The Courtyard Studio is also available for use as a rehearsal space and venue hire for functions.
